I was on the old board during last summer. I posted my perfect Jesse then and a lot of people agreed. So I'm going to post him again to get some reactions. He's a Brazilian actor, I'm not even sure if he speaks English... but that can be remedied. And I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to slip from a Portuguese type accent to a Spanish type one...

Unless said person still looks too young for the part, which can happen (talking from personal experience because I got carded for a PG-13 movie when I was 19).

There's some 15-16 year olds who may look too old for the part too (think about 14 y.o. runway models...they can pass for 21 or 22).

Don't go just by age, because then you're shooting yourself in the foot since we'd probably end up with a Disney kid (with Demi playing Suze and Selena playing Maria).

he sounded convincing enough in the disney movie he was in

i like that girl that was juno for suze. shes stunning in a kind of natural way. if the movie gets people like hayden panetierre (sp?) for kelly and the likes then i reckon suze needs to be like natural but still gorgeous. i know in the book it says she not ugly but not really beatiful (it was something along those lines) but you have to remember its in suzes pov so she wouldnt be telling us shes stunning would she? :D

twilights an brilliant series n that but its putting other films on hold which is irritating

But what if they are unknown, and are a few years older but look the right age and are perfect for the part? Would you agree with them as the character then? Um, I know this is a little OT from the casting suggestions and stuff, but I was wondering how they were going to do the movie.

I mean obviously filming and acting and blah blah blah but what I mean is, are they going to just do the first book or are they going to meld the story of the first two or three books together?

I mean, I guess I know it depends a lot on if they want to do a sequel or not but I was just wondering how they were going to put six books in one movie (if that's what they're going to do in the first place which I highly doubt but you never know).

My problem with Mischa Barton is that she might be too tall (just judging by the fact that Gina's height at 6' is seen as sort of awe-inspiring by Suze, so Suze is probably an average height around 5'4"-5'6") and she has the whole drama with The OC when she didn't want to be a part of the show (showing up late, if at all, being a *%^##y diva on set, etc.), behavior that finally made the producers give her character the axe.

If we're going to get someone who is Suze's age, then we have to get someone who's 16 (not 15, like everyone seems so gung-ho about), because I was re-reading Reunion (the 3rd book with the Angels) and it's mentioned that Suze is 16, and there's no mention of any sort of birthday in the previous two books, so clearly she's 16 throughout the series.

Ellen Page is too soft imo to play Suze, who is a more gritty and rebel-licious girl (think less "food-baby" and more Mandy Moore in What I Like About You [Mandy's currently too old for Suze]).

How can you say some of these people will be too old. Hello! In almost every movie or TV show the actors are like at least five years older than they are supposed to be. its called makeup artist. they are payed to make people look a certain way. they could choose any one of those actresses and make them look younger. i like the people you chose though, they would all work. its a hard decision.
