This bothers me eveytime I think about it: Meg never says what David last name is! I did realize that she probably didn't say it because he's the presidents son so she can't just pick a president and use his last name but don't you think she could have made one up!? Also, I can see David as a 'David Conner', or something with like that. What about you guys?

I asked the same question in the David Fan Club...
So yeah, if querida14 is right, his surname's Eisenhower. But I never noticed Meg mentioning it, either.

Wow. I really can't see that as being his last name. And if Sam and David like, get married her name will be Samantha Eisenhower. That just doesn't work for me. Well, unless she changes her name which I would have trouble choosing. I mean, that's kind of an interesting last name but... it's the presidents last name!!!

I purposefully didn't give David's family a last name so he could belong to whatever family is currently serving as president at whatever time the book is being read (of course, if the president is a woman, this might complicate things, but not TOO much), so if people are giving him a last name in their fan fictions, that is totally lazy writing, AND cheating. The whole challenge is NEVER to mention his or his family's last name. I know it's hard, but that is the challenge. Come on, guys, I know you're up for it! Don't be lazy writers!

Interesting. Although I do think it would have been funny if you had given David's family some crazy, werid last name like Goodermyersonmillyloafsterson! That would have been awesome!

Also, when Sam reads out the names in the windowsill in the White House it says saomething like "Lisa Howards and Chelsea Clinton" ! That made me laugh when i figured it out.
Did they actually have daughters with those names or did Meg just make them up?
Sorry if its a stupid question but, hey, im Scottish.

I don't know why I'm doimg this,everyone knows what Sam and David did,but whatever.
Sam handed David the bag, and he smiled when he saw what it was.They started to kiss on his bed,when suddenly the door opened to reveal another David dtanding there, at first I thought I must be dreaming,but when she pinched herself,and realised that I wasn't.
So the other David came and started beating up the first David(the one Sam was kissing).After he reduced the other David in to a bloody pulp he came to Sam and said " Why were you kissing a hobo on my bed?" Sam said "A WHAT?" then David said "You heard me.It was a hobo wearing a mask made to look lile me."
When Sam heard that she'd been kissing a hobo,and about to do more than that,she threw up. Then David carried her back to her room and they "did it" there.
I know stupid I know.

Well, David Conner sounds.. not exactly well David, no offense, of course! But, Conner? Eh.. sounds too.. safe, I mean Mr. Conner for president! Not seeing it, sorry! Maybe David.. well I can't think of any last names, so who am I to say that Conner is not fitting David? Well, hope you find his last name!! :user:
