Ok, I love all of Meg's books, especially AAG. But i was really disappointed with RON. I was a little annoyed by the fact that the whole book was about Sam obbsessing over sex. Yeah, when you mention it a few times it's ok, but the whole book was about it and it really drove me nutz!! Anyone else get that feeling?

I have to disagree with Julia, and agree with her. I'm seventeen and I don't spend my whole life thinking about sex. I liked the book, and I see why you're kind of upset, but I also see where Julia's going with it. It was a big issue in her life, but it was kind of annoying that nearly the whole book was about it. I can't say that I disliked the book because of it - seeing that it was a total normal and common situation for teenage girls - but it did get on my nerves at certain points. = ]

On the contrary, I really loved RON. And come on. You have to admit it. Sam's a teen. That's what teens think about. Absolutely natural. I thought it was kind of cute. Lol
I agree with you. It wasn't annoying at all. Sometimes it was funny (the faucet lol)

I don't think she was obsessing about sex, though the whole book seemed to move really quickly. When you're that age and you love someone sometimes you think about sex more than others. Thinking about it doesn't mean you do it or anything, but Sam is a teenager with a hot boyfriend so she is justified in her thinking. And besides when David's hand was up her shirt I'm sure her thinking was a little skewed.

I pretty much agree with you all. It did get kind of annoying after awhile how Sam kept thinking everything David said was a code word. The fact that it was largely based around sex didn't annoy me though. Teenagers (particularly ones in a relationship) will think about sex, so the fact that Sam did only made it seem more real to me. And of course, being a virgin, she'll be more obsessive over it.
Ahhh.. this makes me want to go back and read AAG and RoN again. It's been ages!
