This thread is just as hilarious as the last one!

I voted psychic people in the poll, lol. :D

~When you hate teachers for giving you a maximum number of words to write an essay in, because you know you'll never be able to fit it all in...

Emily :icon_flower:

That is so true!!! I absolutely hate when that happens because I just KNOW that I'll go over the limit.

SO not just you. I put like... 5. Well, maybe not 5, but I put a lot. :D And when its not cold enough for hot chocolate, I use the powder to make (albeit chunky) chocolate milk.

Me too! And I hate it when she does that! There are so many people that just don't GET writing and how much it means and how into we can get...

You know you're a writer when...
~You have a certain writing time, as in, you just can't easily get in the groove before, oh say, 11 PM. (GUILTY)
~You have to write an essay for school, consider it extremely crappy, and end up getting a 100% (I'm sure I'm not the only one this has ever happened to).
~You hate writing "papers," because it's so hard to be creative and so... NONFICTION!
~When you finish a really good book, you feel like you know the author and fantasize about when you grow up and you're famous and how you'll be best friends with so-and-so author
~You go someplace really relaxing and quiet-ish and think, "I want to live here when I grow up so I can write here!"
~You just don't get how people can NOT like English class.
~You like to call yourself a writer even if you don't write THAT much but you fantasize about writing (I'm guilty of this a lot... I mean, I DO write, but I come up with ideas more than I actually write them out!)
~Your desk is incredibly messy but you just can't be bothered to clean it up.
~You have an unnaturally fast typing speed and you wonder if you were bit by some radioactive typing spider in your youth
~You can look at babynaming sites for hours
~You are known as a very random person

~Moo

oh my god!!! ALL of that is true for me. lol :D

You know your a writer when

-you start calling people by the names of characters who they remind you of
-You start using similies in everyday conversation (not common similies)
-The notes section in your school organising diary is just full of potential storylines and plots or character descriptions

I JUST THOUGHT OF ANOTHER ONE!!!

you know your a writer when . . .

you can write 2 and a half times faster than the second fastest writer in your class

eg. we had an essay we had to write in the period the second longest was 3 A4 pages and mine was 7 and a half pages

You know you're a writer when...

1.) You always think that there's a story behind a story.
2.) You think out of the box.
3.) You always have a pen and a small notebook with you for any sudden spark of ideas.
4.) You love to write essays. And awhile your other classmates thinks it's a burden you find it absolutely a way to write your heart out.
5.) You find it extremely hard to shorten your answer for an essay exam while others find it difficult to lengthen theirs.
6.) You have an infinite love for books.

You know you're a writer...

When your English teacher is announcing that someone in the class has only missed one question on the last benchmark and everyone is looking at you, saying, "Well, it's her."

...but it wasn't!!! I missed two :/ lol.

"some smart cookie had one of the best essay's i've read. they got top marks by a long way"

and then there is the awkward silence afterwards and you feel everyones eyes on you

URG!!

i hate it

but i love having the marks

they're helpful

You know you're a writer when:

~you see someone on the street who looks like one of your characters and you wonder if it's really them....or if you're just going crazy... (I seriously saw a guy walk by who looked like Jim from Sound of the Heart and he's now my neighbor XD)

~you're constantly getting caught writing in class (My US teacher hated when I did this...she would always yell at me and threaten to take away my story and throw it out...)

~you wake up in the middle of the night to write down your dream

~When asked what type of books you read you say "ALL OF THEM.....except Twilight >.>"

~You have to write listening to music...

~You have to pee but you're in the middle of a breakthrough so you sit in your chair rocking back and forth and typing...

~You finally finish writing and realize you've been writing for 6 hours and haven't eaten all day

You know you're a writer when:
- During the summer, when many of your friends are out by the pool getting a tan, you're perfectly happy staying pasty indoors, so you can work on your novel.
- You choose to take a bath over a shower, because you can write in the tub.
- Most of your pens/pencils are partially destroyed due to obsessive chewing/clawing/destructive behavior during bouts of writer's block.
- You've lost weight during writing marathons, because you've forgotten to stop and eat.
- You've gained weight thanks to pigging out on junk during particularly depressing periods of writer's block.
- You wrote this list in the back of your notebook, while working on your novel.

~Only passion can drive you.

WOW, I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that. I'll have those days (like, every day much?) where I stay in my pajamas all day and don't get around to showering till nighttime.

You know you're a writer when....

You frequently forget to eat, too busy writing.

You pace around your house, thinking and thinking and plotting and thinking.

You know when your a writer:
The story has a part of your memoir from some part of your life.

You got inspired by your favorite author.

You want people to know your story and is kept to your heart.

You're determined to write a whole story and don't care about school essays.

You don't care about anyone stopping you.

Write with your heart.

You put all your emotions, pain, sadness, happiness, guilt, regret...

most impoortant of all, you don't want to forget it and have it part of your life and story.

God luck when you're writing!

You daydream of story ideas.

You daydream of characters.

You daydream of dialogue.

You write down all the stuff you daydream about so you don't forget it.

You know you're a writer (or reader) when...

A favorite author is like a celebrity for you.

Getting published isn't just something you hope will happen, it's part of your life plan.

You hope someday you can make someone feel powerful emotions over one of your books, because that's a big accomplishment in your eyes.

You know you are a writer when

~You refuse to shorten any words in text messaging, IM, or any other social networking site..

~ You correct the teacher on her spelling. (It's not encylopedia, it's encyclopedia)

~ You rather write than socialize.
