i love ginny in the books, but agree with you guys, she's not as good in the movies

i think books the ending should be the same.

Movies, i keep thinking harry and hermionie.

But i love ron so you can't do it to him.

THat locket scene really just made the h/h thing seem so more realistic!

found this movies good as most the script were the same words as the book!

except they added jokes!!!

I think that Harry should have been more... uneasy about Dumbledore. He didn't doubt him enough. The only part you see that is where Muriel says "Did you even know him at all?".

That's what was really missing for me... The rest was great.

I'm sorry but I was sort of disappointed. I was waiting for this film for a loooooooong time! HBP was even more dissappointing. But I have a feeling DH2 is going to be AMAZING! I can't wait for it!!!
And I've heard that JKR's writing another book. I don't know what it's about but I think it's the HP Encyclopedia :D
I love HP!
Meg Cabot and J.K Rowling are two authors that changed my life forever (in a good way.) =P

Amen the last bit
they were the authors who lured me into the habit of reading

anywho the i felt there is more chemistry between harry and his wand than there is between him and ginny (in the movie) also the kiss was in one word SLOPPY
ron and hermoine were so adorable
I just wish they hadn't cut out some important parts ...i was really anticipating some scene and then i find out its been cut out - not a good feeling

Oh gosh yes. ^
I remember how pumped I was for the HBP kiss. And that little snippet was released in the trailer and I was so excited for more.

BUT THAT WAS IT.
AND IT WAS SO WEIRD!
AND SHORT!

AND IT DIDN'T HAPPEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COMMON ROOM WHILE EVERYONE WAS WATCHING.

My least favourite hp movie.

^^ Well JKR said he was not a normal cat, and nor was he an Animagus and she said we would find out later what he was but we never did.

But even is she hadn't said that, don't you think Crookshanks was a little too intelligent to be a normal cat? He knew about the tree, he knew about Sirius, he even knew about Scabbers! and Sirius himself said that Crookshanks understood what he was telling him..

He's a sneezle or something like that. It comes in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them. :D

I don't think it was said in the books, but JKR said it in an interview or something.

I also loved The tales of beedle the Bard, espceially the tale of the three brothers (awesome!) :heartbeat:
I'm very excited with the last movie. But a part of me is sad, because it'd be the last one. No more Harry Potter, I don't think I can get used to this.

I haven't read the Harry Potter books - I tried to though - but my friend has and she feels J.K Rowling copyied from a book called "The Colour Of Magic" by Terry Prachet.

I found the books boring and long, and I couldn't connect with the characters.

Nah! I don't think JKR copied HP from anywhere.
And the books aren't that long, PS especially. Except the first chapter was sorta boring. It got better after Harry found out that he was a wizard =P

I've read "The Colour of Magic" and I can't find any similarity between HPs and that.

I haven't seen any HP movie after Goblet of Fire but I've read all books. Bellatrix was my fave character!

I don't see how there is any way JKR could have copied someone else. Not after its been this popular. Someone would have said something.

I think I will ball when I see part two. Because it is going to just END. I can't imagine a world without HP. It'll might even be worse than when I finished the last book, because even then I still had movies to look forward too.

But still so excited at the same time.

Harry Potter needed a forum. Favourite book? Scene? Thoughts on the last chapter of the last book? Favourite character? And thoughts on the movie?

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Professor Lupin changing into a warewolf
The last chapter is awesome but sad
Sirius Black
The movie was brilliant, almost exactly like the book. I personally think!!

Harry Potter is definitely one of my favorite book series! :) I started them in fourth grade, and then shortly after the first movie came out. I grew up with this series! Every time a new book in the series my mom and would be waiting at Target outside before they opened (we never made it to the midnight releases), for the movies we always went and saw on the first night. I was soooo sad when I read that last page of Deathly Hallows, like a week after it was released. But at the time I still had the movies to look forward to.

But then Deathly Hallows Part 2 came out, and my mom and I went together on the first night for the last time. The movie was absolutely perfect! But when those credits roles, I got tears in my eyes... :)

Harry Potter forever!!

I've read all of the books. I've seen all the movies. They are both great in their own ways. My favorite book (and my least favorite movie) is The Half Blood Prince. My favorite movie is the third one. I liked what they did with it. I'm not super obsessed but i see why people are.

Pottermore is an online experience based around Harry Potter books. By JKR herself.
It's open to everyone to use in October, but there was a 7 day challenge for one million people to get early access.

Something that always baffled me (well not so much anymore) is why people liked Lily and Snape as a pair. I'm like "Harry would have been even born". I questioned to which book they explain their relationship/friendship and thought it was the fifth one. I verbalized this on the internet, was lashed out at, and was apprised that it was more in deph in the last one in The Prince's Tale. Its one of my favorite chapters. It explains so much.

They changed to the beginning of November, because it took a while for all the beta's to get in first. Since they couldn't let the first million in at once they had to separate them, and that took a while. But on the Pottermore Insider they said it was opening officially to the rest of the world in November. :icon_sunny:

I predict a sever crash.

I don't think the Harry Potter series is any great literary achievement, what with its myriad adverbs and all, then again, what series is? Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, The Inheritance "cycle". These exist as guilty pleasures for us to indulge in, at first in youth when the mind seeks instant gratification, and later on in life when a peaceful respite of familiarity is required.

That said, I still love the books. They defined my childhood and that of many other middle class families. My favourites of the series were the ones I felt had the most mystery: Chamber of Secrets and Half Blood Prince.
